Harley-Davidson got it’s extremely humble beginning when William Harley and Arthur Davidson manufactured the first production motorcycle in 1903. The motorbike was developed  in a tiny shed wooden with the name Harley-Davidson Motor company on the front door and had become the racing bike. Harley-Davidson hired their first worker last 1905 when they won the first race. Three years later, in 1908, Harley-Davidson sold the first motorcycle to be utilized in police service to the Detroit Police Department. They became productive that they were able to develop a 6 story factory building and started to export their motorcycles to the Japan.
H-D entered the national racing circuit in 1914 and became termed “the wrecking crew”. Harley-Davidson then started to sell their motorcycles within the Military in 1917.
Half of H-D motorcycles were shipped to Germany and have been for military service. The first Soldiesr that rode the motorcycle was Corporal roy holtz. H-D became the largest company of motorcycle in 1920. That were there over 2000 dealers in 67 countries globally.
The Harley-Davidson competitor’s were gone in 1931 except for the Indian Motorcycle Company. Harley-Davidson and Indian are the only two motorcycle companies in America, until 1953.
Because the world goes in into World War 2, so does Harley return into Military motorcycle creation, and the service school is flipped directly into the military motorcycle service school, also known as the Quartermaster School for military mechanics. During this period the public could hardly get hold of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.
